Infrastructure · built on OpenTelemetry

Hosts, databases, caches, brokers and network gear — every server seen from both sides.

Server-side metrics from integrations, paired with the client-side view your applications have of the same instance. Each one is marked monitored, APM-only or stale, so you know what you can trust.

Owlpane infrastructure overview: fleet coverage ring and cards for each data domain.

What you get

Infrastructure monitoring, in detail

Hosts

VMs and nodes reporting hostmetrics or Prometheus node_exporter over OTLP.

Databases

PostgreSQL, MySQL and MongoDB from agent integrations (or a plain OTel Collector), plus databases discovered from APM client spans. A generator produces the Helm values and the read-only grant SQL.

Data stores

Redis and Redis-compatible engines (Valkey, KeyDB, Dragonfly) with memory, clients, keyspace hit rate, commands, network, persistence, replication and CPU on their own tabs — compact sparkline tiles and rate charts.

Messaging

Kafka and RabbitMQ brokers from integration receivers and messaging spans.

Network devices

Routers, switches and firewalls polled over SNMP v2c/v3 plus ping, with LLDP/CDP topology.

Cloud

AWS, Google Cloud and any cloud with a Prometheus-style exporter (YACE and similar) that you run in your own network — credentials never leave it.

Two ways to connect

Kubernetes agent Helm values, or a stand-alone OpenTelemetry Collector for VMs and Docker. Application-side visibility needs no setup at all if your SDK is already installed.

How it works

From zero to data in three steps

01

Choose

Pick the integration and get a values fragment or Collector config generated for it.

02

Connect

Credentials stay in your cluster or host — as a Kubernetes Secret or environment variable, never in the console.

03

Compare

Server metrics and client spans are joined on the same instance so you can tell a slow server from a slow caller.

Where Owlpane is narrower

  • A focused set of integrations, not a ~900-integration catalogue; anything with an OpenTelemetry receiver or a Prometheus exporter can be added.
  • No cloud-account linking: cloud metrics come from exporters you operate.
  • Memcached, Elasticsearch and other engines are not built yet.
